Services

  • Contact Stephanie Willen Brown for help finding data, polls, books, or anything else. Stephanie also:
    • Offers individual, small-group, and classroom instruction on database searching, literature reviews, and research strategies.
    • Provides research support for faculty and students.

    • Serves as a workshop instructor.

    • Conducts Park Library orientation tours for visitors, students, and faculty.
    • Creates JoMC course research guides (Course Guides)

Facilities

  • The entire Park Library is wireless and is nearly 5,000 square feet. Check out the floor plan or take a virtual tour.
  • There are 15 computers and one Bloomberg Financial Services dedicated terminal.

  • The Library's computer lab is equipped with 19 computers offering access to sophisticated electronic resources and four large screen video display screens.
  • Two scanners are in the Library stacks area. One, an Epson Expression 800 with Adobe Professional 7.0 software, is a flatbed scanner for text and images. The other is a microfilm reader/scanner and can read, copy, or digitize microfilmed articles.
  • Four printers (three black/white and one color.)UNC One Cards are required to print.
  • The Park Library has one high-speed photocopier for students and faculty. UNC One Cards are required to make photocopies. The photocopier serves also as a scanner.
  • AV equipment include: Videocassette player, VHS/Pal dubbing equipment, and a Slide viewer.
  • Nineteen lighted display cases showcasing a wealth of special collections including the Spearman Collection of alumni and faculty books as well as an exhibit of five antique typewriters,
  • Touch-screen kiosk with former CBS broadcaster Charles Kuralt’s videos.
