AEJMC Convention Research Papers (post 1993) 2002 Convention papers are now available online. Hard copies of most papers are also available from the AEJMC Central Office.Cost is $3.50 per paper to cover the copying an mailing costs. Contact Pam Price at pam@aejmc.org to check on the availability of specific titles. More than 2,000 research papers from past AEJMC conventions are available online. The papers on the site go back to the 1993 convention. Papers are only available if the authors gave permission for online dissemination and provided the paper on disk. The papers (most, but not all papers) are archived on a website at Michigan State University. Many past convention research papers are also available in hard copy form from the AEJMC Central Office for $3.50 each, which covers copying and mailing costs. Call 803-798-0271 or e-mail Pam@aejmc.org for a list of available papers. Note: Paper authors should be aware that some academic journals may consider online dissemination of research papers publication. However, AEJMC does NOT consider online dissemination of research papers publication, and all AEJMC journals will consider such manuscripts for publication in its journals. AEJMC Convention Research Papers (pre 1993) Searching for conference papers prior to 1993 requires using the ERIC database in the UNC-CH online e-indexes and databases. Go to UNC's Online E-indexes and databases and select "E" for ERIC. Click on the link to ERIC. Your initial search phrase
(exact words) should be: The number of returned "hits" will exceed 200. Note that each single record will include all the conference papers for a particular AEJMC division in a particular year. Even if you add to your initial search phrase the name of the conference city, you will get 15 + records for any given conference city. From that number you will need to select the particular division, then search in the long list of conference papers (including researchers' names) to find the particular paper(s) you need. There is no way on ERIC to search and retrieve a single paper even if you have the exact bibliographic citation. ERIC has grouped conference papers into records according to AEJMC Division and then by conference city name/year. For assistance in conducting this type of search on ERIC, please contact the Park Library director, Barbara Semonche. |
